Our Story
homeperform is led by James Crouch, who brings extensive experience in residential construction, electrical systems and ventilation.

For more than 15 years, James, alongside wife Laura and their team, delivered electrical installations into thousands of new homes across large residential developments.
​
Working closely with national house builders provided valuable insight into how developments operate; from construction processes and quality control through to customer handovers and warranty defect management.
​
Over time, one issue became increasingly clear: homeowners were often left navigating defects and remedial works on their own, facing delays, inconsistent communication and uncertainty around how to resolve problems properly.

homeperform was established to change that.

Drawing on practical site experience and further specialist training in surveying, thermography and damp investigation, we expanded our established electrical services to help new-build homeowners identify, understand and resolve defects after purchasing their property.

James, Managing Director
James is a member of the RPSA (Residential Property Surveyors Association), an Approved NICEIC electrical contractor and NICEIC qualified in Domestic Ventilation.

He also holds qualifications in Construction Management, Applied Building Thermography and Damp & Mould Surveying, alongside over 20 years’ experience working within residential homes and new build developments.
Laura, Office Manager
Laura oversees operations and customer service, ensuring the business runs professionally and efficiently at every stage.

With a background in property management and experience managing over 700 residential properties, Laura brings valuable insight into the operational and compliance challenges faced by homeowners, landlords and property professionals.
